The Feria de los Maestros del Arte is an annual event in Ajijic-Chapala Mexico that highlights traditional craftsmanship and the skills of indigenous master artisans. Founded in 2002, the fair promotes the preservation of cultural traditions and the dissemination of indigenous art. It provides a platform for master artisans to showcase and sell their products both nationally and internationally, thus contributing to the sustainability of their communities and the global appreciation of their work
The ‘Rosas y Revelaciones’ exhibit is a Textile Tribute to the Virgin of Guadalupe, a collection by Mexican folk art promoter Linda Hanna. The exhibition consists of 73 traditional garments crafted through a completely artisanal textile process, showcasing one of the most iconic and symbolic images for many Mexicans, the Virgin of Tepeyac. Indigenous artisans created these magnificent garments from 52 communities in 10 states of the Republic. Through their art and worldview, they have expressed their devotion to Guadalupe and the cultural richness of deep Mexico.
